Often through the summer I will see Pelicans and Cormorants bunched together in two distinct, separate groups on the north end of the mid-river island between the University Bridge and the Weir. The stark patches of black and white on the brown-green-blue background always draws my eye. The look like two gangs ready to rumble… or… maybe herds of nerd birds about to LARP a game of chess.
