Birbs of Saskatchetoon - Belted Kingfisher

 I went out for a long bike ride on the late afternoon/early evening of Thursday, 2 June 2022. By the time I was rolling back into town I was exceedingly tired and just wanted to get home. 1.5Km from my house I just happened to glance to my right when a space opened up between stands of trees and dense brush offering a brief glimpse of the river beyond and right in the middle of the space was the unmistakable silhouette of a Belted Kingfisher! 

I was torn between resenting "having to" stop and the thrill of spotting one of my favourite birds...
