Birbs of Saskatchetoon - Canvasback

On Monday (a week ago) I went out to pick up groceries and took a longer, more circuitous route than really necessary (the SCENIC route!), so I could see if there were any new birbs hanging out in the river between the University and CPR Bridges. It was kind of a silly thing to do, considering how behind I was in drawing/painting after the weekend... but no one has ever accused me of genius! 

and new birbs there were! 

As always, the pictures are kind of crap... but I did have the big binoculars with me and I had a really good look at this guy... 

Then just downstream I spotted two more pairs of them!
